NO WILLOW HILL RIDING CLUB MEETING 1/15
The 3rd Sunday this month crept up on us. After talking to Bernadette and
Sue, we decided to simply CANCEL the 1/15 meeting. We just had the Holiday
party, and of course there is the Packer game that afternoon.
For the record (Margaret and Madi and others): The distribution list for
this message has been updated and can/should be used for club mailings until
the next update.
GO PACKERS!

October Meeting Minutes
Willow Hill Riding Club
October Minutes
· Called to order at 3:30 p.m.
· Adjourned at 4:05 p.m.
Corrections to Minutes
· There were no corrections to the
minutes
Treasurers Report
· We stand at a balance of $19,600.
Thanks to Bob’s hard work and effort the club is once again a non-profit
organization.
Old Business
· This year we raised $26,500 for the
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Thanks to Don and Joanne for driving
along with us to warn other traffic that we were near.
· We decided that this year we will
hold the Christmas party after Christmas. The Nosaceks will possibly host the
party and there for will get to decide the date.
· Flower Power raised $45.00. You can
still order online until the end of the month.
· Innesbrook orders were collected at
today’s meeting. If you were unable to attend and have an order you can call
Deb Segrin at (414)476-4005 and she will put in your order. She will be placing
orders at the end of this week so call her ASAP.
New Business
· We have two new members of the willow
hill riding club, Dolores and Norm Mishelow.
· The holiday season is quickly
approaching and we would like to support another charity. We decided that we
will bring non-perishable food items to our next meeting and possibly having
some club members go caroling at nursing homes. We sent around a sign-up sheet
at the meeting so if you didn’t have a chance to sign-up and would like to
contact Margaret.
· Fall clean-up will be held on
Saturday, November 5 and will start at around noon.
· Appy Orse Acers officially has a
Facebook page. Make sure to you check it out.
· A drill team sign-up sheet was passed
around. We need to know if there would even be enough riders to even have a
drill team so if you are interested and did not sign up you can e-mail me at msegrin@gmail.com and I will add you to the list.
· Next month after the meeting we will
take some time to share about our backgrounds as many of us only know each
other as people from the stable or club. We will also have a scrapbooking
activity afterwards so bring pictures of anything you would like to make a page
about. If you have any fancy stickers or designs/paper you would like to bring
please do because I only have a limited amount of stickers and I do not know
how many people to expect.

Old
Business
·
Continue to bring in crushed cans. We
discussed pulling the tabs off of the cans and did not know why we were pulling
them off, so we have decided we will not pull off the tabs unless someone knows
how pulling the tabs off will help the club.
·
Next year Horses for Hero’s will be on the
last week of August due to other events such as State Fair and the air show.
·
Remember that you can still buy flowers from
our Flower Power fundraiser. An online catalog is now available.
·
At this meeting we collected kitchen items
for the Veterans for peace organization who help ex-soldiers in need.
·
Amy Wejksnora talked with the Cool Breeze
Helping Hands barn and discussed possible having a representative coming to
speak at out January meeting.
·
The
St. Jude trail ride will be Oct.8. Bernadette needs to who plans on riding. To
rent a horse for the ride will cost $35.00. The donation sponsors sheet was
handed out at the meeting; remember to start asking for donations.
·
People can still order chocolates and gift
wrap from our Innsbrook fundraiser. This will be due at our Oct. meeting.
·
A large group has scheduled a trail ride for
Oct.2, if you can help let Bernadette know.
·
Bernadette brought up the idea of possible
having another Appy Orse Acres drill team. If you are interested in being part
of this team inform Bernadette.
New
Business
·
Katie Feyereisen now is the holder of the key
to the Saukville Cominity Center.
·
Thanks to everyone who helped with the
bonfire.
·
A special thanks to Isabel Reed, Holly Jahn,
Hannah Anderson, and Kayla Kintzele for organizing the games for this year’s
bonfire.
·
Remember the next meeting will be held at the
Saukville Community Center.
·
One more thing to consider. We still need a
host for our Christmas party so keep thinking about that.
